Passion, What Get’s You Hot & Bothered?

PassionIt is almost Valentines day and I was thinking about the meaning of  passion. If you look up the word in the dictionary, you will see one definition list as “any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate”.  So I was thinking about the things I love… I am not into looking at hate as it is a negative emotion and really brings no value into my life.

I have been blessed to be married to an amazing woman for the last 17 years and my marriage gets stronger with every passing day.  So you could say I am passionate about my wife.

I have been blessed with three amazing children and  they fill up may days with amazing joy and interesting challenges.  So you could say I am passionate about my about my children.

I have been involved with online marketing for over 10 years now and I have experienced both immense success and amazing failures, but I keep coming back for more.  I just can’t get enough of internet marketing.  So you could say I am passionate about internet marketing.

I was introduced to the concept of attraction marketing last year and I fell in love with the process.  The ability to add value lives of the people with whom you come into contact is wonderful.  I find extreme joy in knowing I can assist others and make their live just a little better.

Now why do I tell you all these things?  Well, I feel you will never truly succeed in life until you are able to follow your passion.  Many marketers just go with the flow and try everything under the sun.  They are simply trying to make a buck and survive.  This philosophy normally does not produce true happiness and success.

Take some time today and think about the word, PASSION.   What comes to mind when you think about it?  Do you know what get ‘s you hot and bothered?  You  may be surprised when you realize what you are really passionate about. Are you able to apply your passion to your work?

    My passion is Internet Marketing and helping others learn how to do Internet Marketing the right way. There are too many people that are teaching false practices on the Internet.

    Hey Scott!

    It is definitely important to determine what your passion is. I completely agree with you that you won’t ever see the success that you want if you are just chasing the money.

    I also agree with you that you will likely be surprised when you do discover your passion.

    I have spent countless hours in the last 6 months learning everything I can about Online Marketing. When I first started I had no clue what my passion was or which area of Marketing I wanted to pursue. I started with PPC (pay per click), because I figured if I learned that I could start making fast money. For some reason it didn’t feel right to me though, not that I think PPC is bad, I just don’t think that I was ready for it.

    When I first started I had no desire to pursue blogging, but I am so glad that I gave it a chance. I never thought I would love blogging as much as I do because I was always a very private person. I love sharing my knowledge through my blog. I love developing relationships with people I never would have met otherwise. I love being part of a Tribe and helping other other to be successful. The most surprising thing for me though is I LOVE teaching other people to do what I have done. I NEVER thought I would enjoy the teaching role this much!

    Thanks for making me think. It is great to reflect on my Passion!

    @Melissa Wright, I never thought I would be into blogging either, but it is the perfect way to brand yourself and share your knowledge. I worked with PPC as well, but it does not allow you to create a community… and I love community.
