Making Great Blog Content A Priority
As you strive to be the ‘go to’ guy or gal in your specific area of expertise, the more information you provide, the more you will build trust, enhance credibility and establish authority. Which leads to increased subscribers, new recruits into your organization and a growing number of people spreading the word about you and your blog.
You see, the truth is that you ARE your content. Which is why your content, be it written, audio or video, should be a reflection of who you are and what you want to become – as a leader and trusted advisor to your blog visitors.
But there can also be some challenges with creating quality content.
1. Time – I hate to say it but Network Marketing leaders have the same time constraints as everyone else. Sometimes more. I absolutely love talking on the phone and often spend 6 to 8 hours a day speaking with prospects, assisting associates with growing their business and brainstorming with other successful marketers. Which doesn’t leave much gas in the tank for sitting down and putting out content that my readers will enjoy.
But remember, your blog is the very lifeblood of your online success. While it’s easy to put content creation off until ‘tomorrow’, this can be a self-defeating mindset, which will keep you from reaching your desired monetary outcome, whatever it may be.
2. Ideas – Sometimes writing articles, putting thoughts into a blog post or coming up with a fresh video can seem overwhelming. But don’t fret, every blogger runs into the content creation ‘wall’ every now and again. So what to do when the creative juices are just not flowing? Here are a few easily actionable ways to find the inspiration for your next gem.
• Peruse other top ranked blogs and websites within your niche. Look for hot topics and the latest ‘buzz’.
• Article directories, like Ezine Articles, Buzzle and Go Articles can be a great source for new content ideas.
• Sign up for newsletters in your niche. Newsletter tips are a treasure trove of fresh deas for blog posts.
• Keep a small notebook and jot down blog ideas whenever they may arise.
So there you have it. No more excuses for stalling or procrastinating. CONSISTENCY is the key here. Schedule a daily time dedicated to content creation and COMMIT to posting some sort of content at least once a week. Your loyal readers are waiting…
If you resonate with this and have some ideas or encouraging words to share, I’d love to hear from you down below. And if you think the people over on Twitter would benefit, a ReTweet is always appreciated too, and if you think your Facebook following would benefit from these words feel free to share them with your friends.
Wishing you prosperity and joy,
Scott

Great reminder to stay on task with social media and the purpose we have with our blogs.
Building a business and providing a service is the product that allows me to have the pleasures of sharing my successes, and challenges with friends like yourself. The internet provides opportunities to meet life long friends while earning a living.
Thanks for your reminders.

Hi Scott,
The time factor is one I think most readers can resonate with. Writing effective and valuable blog posts several times a week is a big commitment, even for the most avid writer! However, as you point out, the pay off is worth the effort as our blogs serve as the central hub to our online marketing efforts.
Great tips for getting post ideas!
