Build Your Downline – 3 Simple Steps
There are many people in Network Marketing who struggle with building a downline. If you have tried the whole “warm market – friends and family” approach without much success and have already blasted through all the prospects on your list, then now what?
Don’t get discouraged. While you probably can find a few decent recruits going the friends and family route, it is not really the strategy that today’s top producers use for building a six figure organization. Besides, your friends and family list is finite and will eventually run out. And the reality is, that you must have a continual source of new prospects available to you each and every day, if you want to build a massive organization.
So, what are some steps that you can take to begin building your downline today? Here are a just a few that I will touch on.
- Lead Capture Pages – A lead/data capture page is one of the best ways to develop your prospect list. A good capture or landing page should offer something of benefit to the visitor, a legitimate reason for them giving you their name and e-mail address. Remember, these are people who are looking for a solution to a problem. By offering one on your capture page, you will have a constant stream of targeted leads, which is the first step to growing a healthy downline.
- Branding & Relationship Building – Once you have a list, you need to brand yourself as an “authority” and build trust with the people who have opted-in. The key is to give them valuable information. Of course you can always sprinkle in some small pitches to products/services that relevant to what the people on your list are looking for (solution). But you want to first make sure that you provide them great content. Add value, establish trust, position yourself as an expert and watch what happens.

- Webinars – A great way to build on branding and relationships is to create and host webinars on a semi-regular basis. Don’t make the mistake of treating it as one giant sales pitch, or you will lose the credibility you have tried so hard to cultivate. Use webinars to share content that educates your prospects on topics about which they want to know more. Then at the end, you can offer them YOUR unique solution to their problems. Webinars are also effective at establishing authority and expertise, which will induce prospects to want to know more about you and your business opportunity.
Please be aware that these are only a few basic ideas and strategies that you can use to begin growing your downline right away.
