Hi my name is Scott Scales and I am the author of ScottScales.com.

The reason I started this blog is I am devoted to assist other online entrepreneurs in creating successful business in a very short period of time. You see I used to sit in traffic all morning to get to a job full of stress where I wore my corporate uniforom of a suite and tie, but with some focused effort I was able to shift over to the comfort of a 50 foot walk to my home office and enjoy building my online bsuiness in the comfort of my kahki shorts, t-shirts, and ball caps.

My story is probably similar to yours. I was worn out with the life my wife and were living.  You see, not terribly long ago my wife Erin and I knew what it was like to have big dreams, but not realize them.

Just like many people who are searching for a better way of life, I’ve faced ups and downs in my business career. I started out and enjoyed success in the insurance industry, then followed my love of technology into the technical recruiting arena for several years. After the dot com bust I decided it was time to explore my entrepreneurial spirit and I built my own internet coffee business – it failed miserably. Next, I turned to MLM and ventures including Excel, Melaleuca, and New Vision. Along the way I had some success, but not the kind that was going to light up the world and let me retire at an early age so, I went back to the internet and learned about and applied all I could with internet marketing. Again, I made some good money… but spent even more on internet courses by so-called gurus. Still wanting to feed my entrepreneurial spirit, I started my own software company where I did it all; developing, testing, marketing, selling, and supporting… the company had a great reputation and good success, but the hours and customer support were killing me. So…  next I got a “real” job selling software in Corporate America, but I was miserable and lasted just a year; I am not meant to work for other people.

While I was doing my best to come out ahead and figure out “what I was supposed to be when I grew up”, my wife Erin was steadily plodding along through Corporate America. She was working diligently in her career and enjoying much success, BUT the hours she had to devote to achieve this success were insane and the travel kept her away from the children and me four to five days a week. I stepped back and realized that not only was our debt increasing due to my multiple ventures, but I was pretty much a single parent, and to top it off our work owned us. We were living to work instead of working to live.

Why do I share all these personal details with you? Well, I want you to know that I can relate to where most people are coming from… I am not some guy who stumbled across success without any sacrifice, but I have found real success and I want to work with you to build your brighter future. It’s true; if you can dream your big dream and believe you deserve to enjoy your dream, then I am here to help you achieve your dream, starting today! Well, if your past is anything like mine and you want to make a significant improvement in the quality of your life, I would like to share with you the methods and techniques I have adopted that have truly changed my life, my wife’s life, our family’s life, and the lives of countless other people I have had the pleasure to assist.

You see I found a mentor who was willing to share their success with me.  I learned new skills in social media, blogging, article writing, video marketing, and many other effective marketing methods.  Personal development has become a daily part of my life. I discovered the value in learning to become a real leader and how to promote myself… to add value to the lives of the people around me. Most importantly, I learned to take immediate and massive action on all the things I was taught.

Now, I enjoy working in the MLM industry.  I no longer chase down people who could care less about my opportunity, I no longer have to call crappy prospect leads and have them hang up on me… I don’t have to chase anyone.  I am able to run my business as a true professional. I have become a leader and mentor instead of a follower and a peddler. AND the best part about this is… I am not someone special with super powers, I am just someone who made a decision to make a change, a decision to learn new skills, and a decision to MAKE IT, no matter what.
